uggh I have to get a new battery for my laptop. >:[ not cool.

Lately I've been sick with the flu but I've pretty much gotten over it.
My grades came in and I'm really happy with what I made. Two A's, Two B's and one C.
I haven't felt like drawing anything....Just sketches. uuugh I think I pissed off my boss when I told him I wouldn't be able to work this week.

I didn't draw the design on the shirt which is probably the coolest part of the entire drawing

Tomorrow I've got my first final. I'm a little nervous but not too much since it's art appreciation. Well I've got a lot of my Christmas shopping done but still have few more items to pick up. I plan on doing some Christmas/Holiday drawing for my peeps on DA. Hell if it weren't for them I'd probably have no reason to hang around. Speaking of which next summer I hope to meet up with my buddy onion knight. I can't wait =D!! Even if it's a long ways away.

Anyway, I'm going to try and update this journal more frequently. Maybe once a week or so.

I don't know, lately Deviant Art is starting to annoy me, not that I'm giving it up completely, I just won't be posting their as much as I use to....well I dunno...maybe. I can't say for certain We'll just see how it goes. So yeah I've got finals to get through and an art project to finish. So busy busy busy!

I'm not happy with my art. It all looks like crap!
It's like a bland rip off of Dr. Seuss and I hate the way I color. *sigh*

I don't mind that my characters (Sputnik Spartacus) look seussy, what with the striped stockings and bowtie, but I want a style that I'm recognized for. bleugh fuck shit poop dick piss bitch crap!

So I figured out I'm not so much depressed as I am...just...bored. School starts Monday and I'm mixed between feelings of eagerness and nervousness. At least a college schedule (Well mine at least) isn't as demanding as say...a High School one. I mean it doesn't really feel like I'm going to school. There's not that anxiety of being cool, or worrying if your classmates will like you. Also I've taken classes during the summer so perhaps that's why it doesn't feel so much like school. I got those required Algebra courses over with so there's one less thing to worry about.

Maybe it's because "that time of the month" is approaching and around that time my mind tends to find trivial things to worry about.....( more so than usual) but for some reason I've been worrying about my age. I haven't felt uncomfortable about my age since I was 14. I feel like I'm running out of time....like I'm...(now this is silly) old. I feel like my best years are behind me and I thoughtlessly wasted them accomplishing nothing.
There are kids 17 and 18 who are already in artschool and I don't want to be old when I get out of college.
Auugh! I know this incredibly shallow and pathetic of me. It's just been something that's been bugging me lately. Age shouldn't be something to dwell or obsess on,it shouldn't inhibit you from being happy (Well in certain situations age should be taken into great consideration but you know what I mean )
Anyway I apologize to anyone who actually bothered reading through this mess. Not only is this entry a punctuational and grammatical nightmare, but petty whining is never fun to read.

I've changed my mind on what plant my Spartan creatures are related to. They don't look much like the "Sputnik bloom" infact I think they're more like Thistles. Therefore I'm calling their species "Thistles" (How creative!)

Also I might change the name of their planet to Spartaca therefore the name of their race would be like.... Spartacans..which sounds retarded.

"Sprouts" is what their called when they're a baby or a young child. It's also been used by older Thistles when referring to adolescents which can be rather insulting.

Thistles are born from ostrich-egg-sized seeds. After the females lays the seed,
she buries it underground and sits on the dirt mound protectively until the baby's blossoms began to pop up.

Every Rular of their planet has came from the Spartacus family

The currancy on their planet is called "Sprogs"

The male thistle is capable of producing retractable spikes from it's tail.

Nothing much has been going on. I've been caught between playing old school nintendo games (emulators) on my brother's xbox and drawing alot of sketches...so yeah. Oh and to evil-goma, I uploaded those new stamps, so you can find them in my scaps section if you want to share them.

This rant was influenced by something I read in the complaint forum.

From early middle school to my junior year of high school, I was a huge anime fan.
And to this day I still enjoy some manga and anime every now and again. My all time favorites growing up were Tenchi Muyo, Ranma ½, Saber Marionette J, The Slayers, Serial Experiments Lain, Outlaw Star, Princess Mononoke and even DiGi Charat to name a few. But as anime and manga becomes more and more popular, it sort of looses that special spark that made it so new and original when I first got into it. Of course anime was around way before I became a fan but it was never this prevalent in stores and on television like it is today.

Now it seems like there’s 3 to 4 whole sections dedicated to manga at the book store and if you’re lucky you might find the small area of marvel / DC graphic novels squished in at the end. But if that isn’t bad enough the comic rack where you’d usually find those dumb Simpson comics or Archie is now full of animu-fied shit.

I was never a big Sabrina fan but God even the retarded cartoon version was miles away from this level of shittyness. I still love her old Archie style atleast she didn't look like some sort of anorexic Totally Spies clone. It’s not so much that it’s trying imitate manga it’s the soulless, sparkly, cliché style that looks like something out of a “How to draw manga” book that you’d find at some elementary school book fair.

I'm thinkin about clearing my gallery out and starting fresh. I dunno I'm just really aggravated with my art. I tried to start on a comic yesterday but it sucked ass. I couldn't think of anything. bljsfjkshdfjhsaf I'm going to bed so I can wake up early and go fishing tomorrow....that's like all I do now...fish o_o; Oh yeah my schedule at work is all messed up so I'm not real sure when they want me to come in. I'd wish they'd make their minds up by friday, I have to go to Lubbock and help my brother move.

God my neck has been so stiff the past few days. I don't know what the hell's wrong, it's like I'm sleeping all weird..auugh. Well anyway I saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix it was okay....nothing big. But of course like I've mentioned before, I've never read any of the books so maybe I'm missing out on some details.
It seemed really confusing, because I kept forgetting about certain characters from the previous movies.

My brother is going to be moving back in, it'll be kind of fun having him around. I guess he'll be staying here until he gets this bar exam crap over with. He's also looking for a new house but that's dependent on where he can land a job. Hopefully he'll find something that puts all this lawyer training to good use. Lately it's been really pretty outside and my parents and I have been fishing every evening...not catching anything...but it's still fun.
